Watch Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Dance to Selena Gomez, Beyoncé, and More

The best meme.

After making history as the youngest woman ever to be sworn into Congress, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), has apparently landed a new role: Internet meme.

Some online trolls may have tried to shame Ocasio-Cortez by sharing a video that captured her dancing on a rooftop, but the Internet has turned that narrative around. A newly created Twitter account takes the original clip — which had Ocasio-Cortez dancing to Phoenix's "Lisztomania" — and swaps out the song for a number of our fave tunes.

The account — appropriately titled "AOC Dances To Every Song" — has the history-making member of Congress dancing to songs including "Kill Em With Kindness" from Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber's "Baby" and Beyoncé's "All the Single Ladies."

In addition to Ocasio-Cortez dancing to some of our fave pop songs, AOC Dances To Every Song also paired the video up with hilarious selections, including Smash Mouth, Lou Bega, and Gangam Style.

As reported by Teen Vogue yesterday, some on social media had shared the video as a means of slut-shaming, calling the politician a "nitwit" and a "slut." However, despite the negativity, it appears that others on social media have been quick to point out the inspiring nature of the clip, calling it "adorable."

Just like the original video, the parody Twitter account — created by @leftistthot420 — has quickly wracked up the followers. Nearly 10,000 people have started following the account, and many of the posted videos have racked up thousands of views. Additionally, followers are leaving requests for other potential dancing songs. Ideas have included Dua Lipa, High School Musical, and Cardi B.

As for my request, I'd like for Ocasio-Cortez to release a tutorial on dancing — I could definitely some use pointers on my moves.
