Warner Robins is getting a new Thai restaurant. A sports bar and grill is coming, too.

A new restaurant offering authentic Thai cuisine and a new sports bar and grill are gearing up to open in Warner Robins.

The Thai restaurant will be the fourth restaurant for a Thailand native, while the sports bar and grill will be managed by a four-man team.

Offering Thai street food, this new restaurant is expected to open in June at 670 Lake Joy Road, Suite 400.

Kai Sintuwong described the food as traditional Thai cuisine that would be prepared at home. She’s opening the new restaurant with business partner, Annie Porntip.

Zaap in Thai means delicious or very tasty.

“It’s kind of slang,” Sintuwong said. “ZAAP is like delicious — like it’s on-spot.”

Sintuwong owns three other popular restaurants, including two that are in Warner Robins.

The dishes served at ZAAP will be unique to the new restaurant — not served at any of her other restaurants, she said.

Sintuwong opened her first restaurant, Kai Thai, with her sister, Kook Sritan, at 2470 North Columbia St, Suite C35, in Milledgeville.

Having opened in 2008, the restaurant celebrates 15 years in businesss this month, she said.

The next to open was Thai Pepper in 2015 at 1806 Russell Parkway, Suite 1100, in Warner Robins, followed by Kin.D 96, in 2019, at 1057 Ga. 96, Suite 300, also in Warner Robins.

The new restaurant is moving into the former The Hot Chik location, which was the Taco Shed before that.

This new sports bar and restaurant is expected to open soon at 207 Russell Parkway, Suite 100.

“Free Game Sports Bar and Grill is a sports bar with TVs wherever the eye can see,” Ryan Golphin, one of the managers, said in an email. “We will have a lunch and dinner service consisting of seafood and your favorite bar foods for those that are just out for a bite.

“People can also come in and grab drinks. So it`s not just a sports bar.”

The establishment is expected to feature sports memorabilia, including from local athletes, as well as a top-notch sound system expected to “bring high energy and game centric,” Golphin said.

“Warner Robins is the international city of Georgia, so we will cater to all nationalities and sporting events,” he said.

The restaurant’s menu includes “traditional American fare” such as wings, nachos and pretzels as well as five different low country boil seafood combinations, fish platters, chicken dinners, tacos, burgers, steaks and a wide variety of sides and other appetizers. The restaurant will also offer salads and vegan choices.

The sports bar and grill is managed by the Four Gentlemen Investment Group, which includes Golphin, Tony Rice, Bernard Brown and Jaylin Irby.

The establishment is opening in the former GG’s Southern Kitchen location, which was the Wellston Station coffee shop before that.
