Two $50,000 lottery prizes are claimed in Washington County

Two lottery game prizes worth $50,000 and sold in Washington County have been claimed recently, according to the Maryland Lottery.

A Washington County woman claimed the $50,000 won through a Dec. 29 Powerball drawing with the ticket sold at the Hagerstown Sunoco at Dual Highway and Eastern Boulevard North, according to the lottery's website. The 49-year-old woman also won a $2 quick-pick ticket through the same drawing.

A $50,000 prize won through the 6th edition of the Deluxe Crossword scratch-off game also was claimed recently, according to an email from Maryland Lottery spokesman Seth Elkin. That game was sold at Halfway Liquors at 17438 Virginia Ave.

Information about the winner was not available Tuesday morning.

Other lottery prizes claimed recently include:

  • $100,000 won by a 53-year-old Brunswick, Md., man who scratched off a $30 Lucky instant ticket on his way to New Year's Eve festivities and won the game's top prize. The man bought his scratch-off games at the Sheetz at 3842 Burkittsville Road in Brunswick. The Sheetz will get a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning top-prize ticket.

  • $50,000 from a Lucky scratch-off game sold at the Emmitsburg Jubilee, 515 E. Main St. in Emmitsburg, Frederick County, Md.

  • $20,000 from a Ravens X2 scratch-off sold at Martin's Food Market on North Pointe Drive, north of Hagerstown.

  • $10,000 from a Gold scratch-off sold at AC&T at 1449 S. Potomac St., near Hagerstown Premium Outlets.

No information was available about winners of the last three scratch-offs.
