Throwback: Aly Raisman Poses For Sports Illustrated Swimsuit
Former United States Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman is on the list of notable athletes to have posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
Raisman, now 27, posed for the iconic magazine issue back in 2017 and 2018.
“Women do not have to be modest to be respected – live for you!” Raisman said back in 2018. “Everyone should feel comfortable expressing themselves however makes them happy. Women can be intelligent, fierce, sexy, powerful, strong, advocate for change while wearing what makes them feel best. The time where women are taught to be ashamed of their bodies is OVER. The female body is beautiful and we should all be proud of who we are, inside and out.”
The 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue is currently on newsstands.
In honor of the 2021 issue being released, let’s take a look back at when Raisman posed for the magazine.
Raisman competed in the Olympics in 2012 and ’16. She won six Olympic medals – three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.
The 2020 Summer Olympics are currently underway in Tokyo.
