Two married teachers are no longer employed at a middle school in Arizona after filming explicit content in a classroom for OnlyFans, according to the school district.

The Lake Havasu Unified School District teacher allegedly filmed inappropriate content on school grounds with her husband, according to Today’s News Herald. Her husband was a long-term substitute teacher at the school.

McClatchy News reached out to Lake Havasu Unified School District and Thunderbolt Middle School for comment and is waiting for a response.

OnlyFans is a subscription-based site where people can sell their content, oftentimes pornographic or explicit videos and photos.

In a video shared on Facebook, the mother of two called her OnlyFans page a “way to earn extra money on the side” to pay for “basic necessities.”

The woman said in the video on Facebook that “although my experience and evaluation show that I had become a master science specialist and teacher, my salary did not increase.”

While the teacher did not say how much she was being paid during her five years at the school, Arizona does rank near the bottom of states when it comes to average teacher salaries, according to the National Education Association.

The woman said she was placed on paid administrative leave and probation “after a community member expressed concerns to the police and my school regarding video content,” according to the Facebook video. Days later, she resigned from her position “under pressure.”

Her husband was also placed on paid leave before he was fired under an at-will contract, she said.

The woman says that she had filmed “outside of contract hours on the weekend and that no minors were ever present or involved in the videos.”

The woman, who used an alias on OnlyFans, tried to block the state of Arizona from seeing her content, but students eventually found the images and shared them among themselves, according to KATU. Parents were notified by the school in an email sent on Nov. 7.

The teacher says she is now being “harassed” in public places like her gym by community members and that some are sharing her home address, according to the video.

“Looking back at the situation, I wholly regret creating the video in the classroom after school hours,” the former teacher said in the video, “But I felt trapped in my financial situation, and I felt that this was the only way my family would be able to survive.”
