Suspect arrested in Pasco shooting. Police say they are underage gang members

Pasco police say that a Monday night shooting that put a juvenile in the hospital was a dispute between alleged underage gang members.

Around 7:15 p.m. Pasco police were dispatched to an area on Chapel Hill Boulevard near Belgian Lane for a report of someone being shot, according to Pasco Police Lt. Tom Groom.

When officers arrived they found a juvenile male who had been wounded in the torso.

The suspect is also a juvenile male believed to have gang ties. Pasco police said the boys are members of rival gangs, according to a social media post from Pasco police.

Ages have not been released for either boy. The condition of the juvenile who was shot has not been made public.

On Wednesday, The Pasco Street Crimes Unit located the shooting suspect at an apartment complex in Richland. The complex was surrounded and he was taken into custody.

They were assisted by the Benton County Gang Unit, Richland Street Crimes Unit, Kennewick Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) team and the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force.
