St. John's Lutheran Community, Senior Resources announce collaboration

May 1—St. John's Lutheran Community in Albert Lea and Senior Resources of Freeborn County on Wednesday announced Senior Resources will relocate to St. John's Lutheran Community's Luther Place campus.

The relocation, to 901 Luther Place, is tentatively set for June 2024 and will include all the Senior Resources team members' offices and community outreach programs.

A press release states the organizations are thrilled about the collaboration as it could enrich the quality of life for all seniors in Albert Lea and Freeborn County significantly. The new features of accessibility in the Senior Resources' office that will enhance this collaboration are that the service areas are all handicap accessible, and patrons of Senior Resources can arrive via SMART Transit if needed.

St. John's Lutheran Community is home to many seniors who receive short-term rehabilitation care, skilled nursing care, assisted living and memory care assisted living services, and independent living. Its mission is to provide physical, emotional, social and Christian care for all people, with dignity and respect, in an environment of God's grace.

Senior Resources of Freeborn County's mission is to provide opportunities that promote health and well-being to the aging population and others in need.
