SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Launches Communications Satellite in Florida

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket launched a communications satellite from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Wednesday, June 29, in the first of two rocket launches scheduled there for that week.

This video filmed by Adam Kent shows the rocket taking off.

Local media reported the SpaceX flight was the second mission for the Falcon 9’s first-stage booster, which was then successfully landed on a drone ship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

Another rocket is scheduled to launch from the same location on Thursday evening. Credit: Adam Kent via Storyful
