The path for Lamont Paris and South Carolina men’s basketball team is set for the 2024-25 season.

The Southeastern Conference released its game schedule for the Gamecocks and the rest of the league on Tuesday afternoon. The announcement completes the full schedule for USC, which released its non-conference opponents last week.

South Carolina will begin conference play on the road at Mississippi State on Jan. 4. Its first home SEC game will be Jan. 7 or 8 vs. Alabama. The mid-week games will be either played on Tuesday or Wednesday and be announced at a later date with game times.

USC will play both SEC newcomers Oklahoma, one the road on Jan. 18 and host Texas on Feb. 22. The game at Oklahoma will be the Gamecocks’ first trip there since 1992.

Matchups with Kentucky (Feb. 8) and Tennessee (March 8) also will be on the road. The game with the Vols will end the regular season.

The Gamecocks will have home-and-home matchups with three teams — Florida, Georgia and Mississippi State.

The Gamecocks are coming off a 26-win season and the first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2017. USC’s 15-win improvement was tied for second-best in the country. USC also tied a program-record with 13 SEC wins.

The Gamecocks, in Paris’ third year as coach, return all-SEC freshman Colin Murray-Boyles and have three key transfers in Nick Pringle (Alabama), forward Jordan Butler (Missouri) and guard Jamarii Thomas (Norfolk State) as well as local freshman signee Cam Scott.
