Sixers star Joel Embiid explains his meme tweet after Ben Simmons trade

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is a well-known troll. The guy just has a knack for being able to get under the skin of certain people and he has an ability to make people laugh while doing so.

So when the Sixers sent Ben Simmons to the Brooklyn Nets in the deal that netted James Harden, Embiid was ready for a reaction.

Embiid tweeted out a simple meme. The meme is meant to represent that Simmons won’t be missed. It is a meme from 2015 that has been since re-adapted to express different situations.

In this case, it a “RIP Bozo” type of situation to know that Embiid won’t miss Simmons.

In classic Embiid fashion, he played it off.

“Honestly, I don’t even remember what the tweet was about,” Embiid said with a laugh. “I just tweeted a random person. I saw a picture on the internet. I thought he was well-dressed. He had a nice suit on, good-looking, so he had some swag. So I thought it was a good picture.”

Embiid and the Sixers will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday at home.
