The sign is gone from Wichita’s east-side Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. So what gives?

One of the consistently busiest restaurants on North Rock Road has to be Buffalo Wild Wings — better known to its close friends and fans as B-Dubs.

But recently, some Wichita diners have been noticing an ominous sign, or lack thereof.

The restaurant recently was closed for a week, and now, the sign out front is gone.

There’s no need for alarm, though. The east-side Buffalo Wild Wings, which has operated at 3235 N. Rock Road since 2002, is open, though it was closed the week before last for a remodel that resulted in new bar tops and other upgrades. The restaurant is still waiting on some new furniture.

It’s also still waiting on its new sign, but it should go up soon, an employee said. But the brief closure combined with the missing sign has been causing some confusion — and concern — among customers, she said.

The hours for the Rock Road Buffalo Wild Wings and for its sister restaurant at 2413 N. Maize Road are 11 a.m. to midnight Mondays through Thursdays; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays.
