Shuckers shutters: Here’s why this popular Carolina Forest restaurant is closing

Brother Shuckers Bistro in Carolina Forest officially closed on July 5 after 10 years of serving the surrounding community.

The owners of Brother Shuckers said in a statement on Facebook that increasing food and supplies costs, as well as staffing issues, lead to the decision to close permanently.

Owner Bill Milldrum did not respond to phone calls for an interview.

Chris Quagliata, who owns Quagliata Brothers Italian Deli, said they will be opening a new restaurant where Brother Shuckers was in the next coming months.

Customers showed an outpouring of love for the restaurant in comments on the Facebook post.
