Two killed and gunman dead after shooting at Las Vegas law office

A shooting at an office building in Las Vegas Monday morning left two victims dead, with the gunman turning the firearm on himself and dying as well.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department posted to X saying that officers were called out just after 10am local time.

The incident was reported “inside a business near Pavilion Center Drive and Charleston”, the department said.

In a later update, LVMPD said that two victims were killed, while the shooter was also dead, following the incident inside a law office.

“The multi-story office building and hundreds of people inside were evacuated during this incident,” the department said on X. “The motive and the relationship between the victims and the shooter are under investigation.”

Sheriff Kevin McMahill said he believed there was no further threat to the wider community, adding that the motive was not known at this time.

Roads around Charleston Boulevard and Pavilion Center Drive were closed while officers dealt with the incident.

According to the Associated Press, the victims were a man and a woman, whose names have not yet been made public. The name of the shooter has also not yet been released, and investigators are working on what the relationship was with the victims.
