Police identify victim in deadly east Austin shooting
AUSTIN, Texas - Austin police identified the man shot and killed in East Austin on Wednesday.
Police said on April 17, around 9:01 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at 1800 East 51st Street.

When law enforcement arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, but later died from his injuries.
He was later identified as 33-year-old Tayjay Stephens.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
