Home values peaked throughout much of the Sacramento region one year ago.

The median sale price for a single-family home in Sacramento County was $580,000 in May 2022, according to the California Association of Realtors. The median price dropped the next month as mortgage rates began to steadily climb.

Placer County’s median sale price topped out at $735,000 last May before dropping 2% the following month. Yolo County’s prices hit $667,500 in June 2022.

The interactive map below shows how much the median home value has dropped in nearly every ZIP code in the Sacramento County region. Home values are available for most of Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, El Dorado, Yuba and Sutter counties.

Every ZIP code in the region with a significant population has seen home values decline since last May. The only exception is tiny River Pines in the Amador County foothills.

Home values listed on the map below are generated by real estate firm Zillow and are updated each month as new data become available.
