Restaurants open on Thanksgiving 2022: How and where to book a table in RI

Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, Nov. 24.

These restaurants have reported they will be open and serving holiday meals. Reservations are strongly suggested. Takeout options are also included. Note the deadlines.

This list will be updated as more restaurants report their hours.

Providence restaurants open for Thanksgiving

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

One West Exchange St., (401) 533-9000, flemingssteakhouse.com, will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. They have a special holiday menu which is three courses, featuring a traditional style Herb-Roasted Turkey, Filet Mignon, or Prime Bone-In Ribeye. Includes a starter, all the fixings, and dessert. The meals start at $57 with dinner for children at $25.  Flemings also has catering for the whole family with pick up Nov. 21 through 23. Place orders for take-out online or by phone.

Il Massimo

134 Atwells Ave., (401) 273-0650, massimori.com, serves from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. not just in Providence but also in their Massachusetts location at Legacy Place in Dedham. They are serving a limited menu in addition to the four-course Thanksgiving dinner.

Trattoria Zooma

245 Atwells Ave., (401) 383-2002, trattoriazoomari.com, will be open from noon to 7 p.m. and taking reservations.  The menu includes farm-raised turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, all-natural cranberry sauce, and house gravy. The regular menu will be available as well.

Tavolo Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille

489 Atwells Ave., (401) 274-6000, tavolowinebar.com,  is open for the holiday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Red Stripe

465 Angell St., (401) 437-6950, redstriperestaurants.com, will be open noon to 7 p.m. with a traditional three-course dinner. The fixed price menu is $35.95 for guests over 12 years and $19.95 for younger guests. The meal is also available for takekout on Thanksgiving for pickup between 9 and 11:30 a.m. The order deadline is 5 p.m. on Nov. 17.

 The George

121 Washington St., (401) 642-6840, thegeorgerestaurantri.com, will be open for Thanksgiving Dinner from noon to 6 p.m. The menu includes an Oven-Roasted Turkey Dinner ($34), Surf and Turf ($59), Prime Rib Milanese ($55) and more seafood, meat and pasta.

Mill’s Tavern

101 North Main St., (401) 272-3331, millstavernrestaurant.com, is seating diners from noon to 7 p.m. They were close to fully booked at press time.

The Providence Marriott Downtown

1 Orms St., Providence, (401) 272-2400, will be open for regular dinner hours, 5 -11 p.m.

Los Andes

903 Chalkstone Ave., Providence, (401) 649-4911, losandesri.com, is offering a prime rib dinner, with pick-up on Thanksgiving Day between 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The cost is $250 for 6 people, and includes prime rib, au jus, asparagus, mashed potatoes, salad and bread. Bellini Providence

50 Westminster St., Providence, at The Beatrice, (401) 443-2960, bellinirestaurant.com/providence, will be serving dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Thanksgiving additions.

Blake’s Tavern

122 Washington St., (401) 274-1230, blakestavern.com, opens Thanksgiving evening at 5 p.m.

Capital Grille

10 Memorial Blvd., (401) 521-5600, thecapitalgrille.com, will be open for dining 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving. They offer their entire menu as well as a turkey dinner special ($47, $17 for children). The special includes Slow-Roasted Turkey with Brioche Stuffing, French Green Beans with Marcona Almonds, Cranberry-Pear Chutney and for the table, Sam's Mashed Potatoes.

Newport restaurants open for Thanksgiving

The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar

1 Sayers Wharf, 401-846-2260, mooringrestaurant, will be open noon to 7 p.m. serving the full menu with Thanksgiving Day specials.

22 Bowen's Wine Bar & Grill

22 Bowen's Wharf, (401) 841-8884, 22bowens.com, is open from noon to 8 p.m. The full menu will be served, as well as Thanksgiving specialties.

The Dining Room at The Vanderbilt

41 Mary St., (401) 846 -6200, aubergeresorts.com, hosts Thanksgiving from noon to 7 p.m. with reservations.

Finn's Harborside

38 Water St., East Greenwich, (401) 884-6363, finnsharborside.com, serves a Thanksgiving buffet that costs $35 for adults, $15 for children 10 and under and $25 for seniors 65 and older. The restaurant opens at noon, with the last reservations offered for 4 p.m. in both their upstairs and downstairs dining rooms. The buffet menu includes turkey, baked scrod, sliced roast beef, pasta primavera, stuffing, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, green bean casserole and apple and pumpkin pies. Reservations are accepted by phone or online.

Chapel Grille

3000 Chapel View Blvd., Cranston, (401) 944-4900, chapelgrilleri.com, will serve from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Elizabeth of Portofino’s

897 Post Rd., Warwick, (401) 461-8920, elizabethportofino.com, will be open noon to 4 p.m. serving their regular menu and a turkey dinner.

Iron Works Tavern

697 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, (401) 739-5111, theironworkstavern.com, will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a special Thanksgiving menu. The last reservation will be for 4:30 p.m.

Tavolo Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille

2099 Post Road, Warwick, (401) 384-7573, tavolowinebar.com, is open for the holiday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Smokey Bones Bar & Grill

31B Universal Blvd., Warwick, (401) 821-2789, smokeybones.com, will offer Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Crow's Nest

288 Arnolds Neck Drive, Warwick, (401) 732-6575, crowsnestri.com, serves a four-course Thanksgiving dinner and a limited regular menu from 11:30 to 6:30 p.m.

North: Thanksgiving dinner served in these northern RI restaurants

Wicked Good Bar & Grill at Bally's Twin River Lincoln

100 Twin River Rd., Lincoln, casinos.ballys.com will be open for dinner from noon to 8 p.m. The full menu will be available, as will specials that include Maple Glazed Ham dinner ($25.99), Roasted Turkey Dinner ($28.99) and Asian Salmon with roasted vegetables and Lo Mein noodles ($27.99). There are also wine and beer pairings and dessert specials of pumpkin or apple pie.

Tavolo Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille

970 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, (401) 349-4979, tavolowinebar.com, is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Terrazza

645 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, (401) 233-3223, terrazzari.com, is open and accepting reservations from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closing at 5 p.m. The regular menu will be available, with Thanksgiving specials as well. There is also a takeout menu available that must be pre-ordered.

East Bay restaurants to dine-in or take out Thanksgiving Dinner

Le Central

483 Hope St., Bristol, (401) 396-9965, lecentralbristol.net, will serve Thanksgiving dinner from 1 p.m. -6 p.m. They offer pre-order takeout of family-style roasts and sides. Call to reserve.

Boat House Waterfront Dining

227 Schooner Dr., Tiverton, (401) 624-6300, boathousetiverton.com, will be open 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a special Thanksgiving menu.

Casino Café & Grille at the Bally's Tiverton Casino

777 Tiverton Casino Blvd., Tiverton, (401) 816-6165, casinos.ballys.com, will be open for dinner from noon to 8 p.m. Specials include Roasted Turkey Dinner ($29) and Prime Rib Dinner ($45). There's Blueberry Pie for dessert.
