'Real Housewives' couple Dorit and PK Kemsley taking 'some time apart' amid 'struggles'

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" stars Dorit Kemsley and Paul "PK" Kemsley have announced that they are taking "some time apart."

The married couple shared a joint statement May 9 on Instagram revealing their decision to "reevaluate" their relationship. Dorit Kemsley shared the announcement on her page, while her husband posted it in his Instagram story.

"We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together," the couple said in their statement.

“To safe guard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children,” the statement went on.

The pair concluded their announcement by thanking fans for their "love and support" while they "continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey."

Other "Real Housewives" stars commented on Dorit Kemsley's post, including Lisa Rinna, who wrote "I love you" with a heart emoji.

The Kemsleys, who share a son, Jagger, and daughter, Phoenix, opened up about their marital problems during Season 13 of "RHOBH," which aired from October 2023 through February 2024 on Bravo.

During "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show" in February 2024, Dorit Kemsley addressed the couple's issues again, explaining that she and her husband still felt "love" and "passion" for each other.

"I can tell you that there is no catastrophic event, no one has done something,” she said, according to Bravo.com. “This is working through things that you, I think, like I said, I think it would be very normal for couples who have experienced something like we had. And the love is not lost, the passion’s not lost, the will to be together is not lost.”

“I love PK very much (and) PK loves me,” she added. “There’s a lot of love there, there’s two beautiful children.”

On March 6, Dorit Kemsley revealed during part two of the Season 13 "RHOBH" reunion that she and her husband were “probably at an all-time bad" after filming for the season wrapped, according to Bravo.com.

“PK was drinking a lot — and he’s a drinker — (but) I just think it’s difficult to have clear-headed conversations when he’s drinking so much. So, he gave up drinking,” she said. “He’s actually been sober for, I think, 49 days. That was a very pivotal moment so things are, knock on wood, as good as they can possibly be.”

She added that she and her husband, at the time of the reunion's filming, were doing “better than ever."

A day after the reunion aired, PK Kemsley wished his wife a happy anniversary on Instagram.

"I’m here, I see you, I love you happy 9th anniversary and thank you," he wrote alongside a montage of images of the couple and their children.
