Prescott receives Log Cabin Republicans endorsement

Apr. 2—CONCORD — The Log Cabin Republicans, a leading organization representing gay and lesbian activists and elected officials, endorsed 1st Congressional District GOP candidate Russell Prescott Tuesday.

"Russell Prescott has the experience to serve the people of the New Hampshire 1st (Congressional District). Log Cabin Republicans is honored to endorse Russell Prescott in his bid to represent the Granite State knowing that he will fight to secure our southern border, stand with our men and women in blue, uphold states' rights, and protect our individual liberties," said Charles Moran, the group's president.

State Sen. Dan Innis, R-Bradford, serves on the group's national board and lent his support to Prescott, a former state senator and executive councilor.

"The combination of his conservative track record coupled with his independent voice is exactly what we need to defeat Congressman Chris Pappas," Innis said in a statement. "Unifying our party early under the banner of a tested leader who has proven he can win tough races is critical to winning next November."

In 2022, Prescott finished fourth in the GOP primary, which Karoline Leavitt of Hampton won; Pappas defeated Leavitt to win a third term in the U.S. House.

Other 1st Congressional District GOP candidates running this fall are Greenland business executive Hollie Noveletsky and Derry entrepreneur Chris Bright.
