Pregnant woman among 4 shot in Eastpointe
EASTPOINTE, Mich. (FOX 2) - Four people were shot Monday night in Eastpointe, including a pregnant woman.
Officers were called to the area of Kelly and Stephens roads on reports of a shooting just before 9 p.m. When they arrived, they learned the actual shooting scene was on Dijon Avenue near Beaconsfield.
One vehicle drove next to the victims' vehicle as they were backing out of a driveway, and someone started shooting. The victims' vehicle then crashed near Kelly and Nine Mile.
Police said the shooting injured a pregnant woman, another woman, and a man. Both women are listed as stable, while the man is in critical condition. A fourth victim suffered a graze wound and has been released from the hospital.
A home where the victims' vehicle was parked was also struck by bullets, but it isn't clear if the home's residents are connected to the shooting.
No suspects are in custody. Police said the victims told them that they think the shooting was random; no one in the victims' vehicle saw the suspect vehicle.
