Popular O’Fallon restaurant temporarily closes its doors. Here’s what to know

I received a call from a reader this week letting me know that an O’Fallon restaurant has temporarily closed.

Horseshoe Restaurant & Lounge, at 950 Talon Drive, shared news of the closure on its Facebook page, citing a “lack of kitchen staffing” as the reason.

The June 13 social media post also stated that the proprietors will “work as many of our serving staff from O’Fallon … as possible during the closing” at the Collinsville location and that staff referrals from customers would be appreciated.

Anyone interested in applying for a position can do so at the Collinsville location at 410 Saint Louis Road.

The Collinsville location remains open seven days a week.

I called the Collinsville location for a quick chat with owner Bernie Clardy, who answered but was not available at the time. (It was shortly before opening on a Friday, after all.)

Horseshoe Restaurant & Lounge in O’Fallon opened in July 2016 under the ownership of Clardy, his wife Charleene, and partners Mike and Jeannie McKenzie.

The Clardys renovated and reopened the Collinsville location in September 2014. They purchased the business in January of that year.

Hours at the Collinsville location are listed as 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. For more info, call 618-345-9350 or visit the Facebook page.
