Indiana didn’t go as far in the NCAA Tournament as it wanted, as the Hoosiers bowed out in the first round, losing to No. 5 seed St. Mary’s in a blowout.
Still, it was an eventful NCAA Tournament experience for the Hoosiers, especially in the cheerleading department.
During the first round game, a pair of Indiana Hoosiers cheerleaders went viral for helping remove a stuck basketball from the hoop.

The Indiana cheerleaders who went viral on social media are Cassidy Cerny and Nathan Paris. They made an appearance on the TODAY show.
“For us to be doing something that gets that kind of reaction is kind of a once in a lifetime thing,” said Paris.
It was certainly an unforgettable experience for the two.
“Their “One Shining Moment” tonight doing what they do everyday. Nathan Paris and Cassidy Cerny!!” Indiana Cheerleading wrote on Instagram.
