Patrick Mahomes is the latest notable NFL figure to weigh in on the Aaron Rodgers situation in Green Bay.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback believes there’s one major problem in Green Bay at the moment: communication.

Mahomes said that he can’t comment on any specifics in Green Bay, though he believes the issues are clear.

“I can’t speak for Aaron and the Packers, but I think the biggest thing when you look as an outsider is: It’s all about communication. It’s all about respecting each other,” Mahomes said, per Forbes. “Aaron has played a long time with that organization, and at some point, they lost that communication factor, and I think that’s where the disconnect has kind of happened.”

Rodgers has yet to report to any of Green Bay’s offseason functions. He did not show up to mandatory minicamp or voluntary OTAs. It’s unclear if Rodgers will show up for training camp this week.

Some have speculated that Rodgers could choose to retire.

Moving forward, it’s clear that Rodgers and the Packers need to mend their relationship.

“Money’s not the problem. It’s his feelings towards the front office. It’s him buying into the GM and the team president,” Yahoo! Sports insider Charles Robinson shared in an appearance on “Brother From Another” last week. “… He’s talked about this idea that ‘it’s not about the corporation, it’s about the people who build the corporation.’ That’s what’s got to be mended here and that can’t really just be done with a contract.”

The Packers are scheduled to open training camp on July 28.
