The 2021 U.S. Open is coming up this weekend. Golf social media personality Paige Spiranac says a couple of competitors stand out in the field.

Spiranac is an ambassador for PointsBet Sportsbook, and she regularly takes part in handicapping segments. On Monday night, she dropped a video detailing which golfers she likes at Torrey Pines.

Spiranac’s list starts with Jon Rahm, who is still looking for his elusive first major but was in control at the Memorial before a shocking positive test for COVID-19 derailed him.

“He’s the player to beat, in my opinion,” Spiranac said of Rahm.

Spiranac went on to recommend defending champion Bryson DeChambeau (“this course favors bombers”) and Collin Morikawa, because of his “ability to hit fairways and greens.” She also likes PGA Tour veteran Justin Rose as a sleeper pick.

The 121st U.S. Open will get underway Thursday from Torrey Pines in San Diego. You can watch all the action on NBC and Golf Channel.
