Oconee County selects former Jefferson coach to replace Travis Noland
Oconee County High School has named Flowery Branch coach Ben Hall as its next head coach the school system announced on Tuesday.
Hall was approved Monday night by the Oconee County board of education and will take over immediately.
Hall was 41-17 in five seasons at Flowery Branch after going 44-8 in a four-year stint at Jefferson. Hall was the offensive coordinator for the Dragons when they won the 2012 championship under T. McFerrin and he was named the head coach of Jefferson the following year after McFerrin's retirement.
Hall played collegiately at Furman where he began his coaching career as an assistant.
"He's just been successful everywhere he's been," Oconee County athletic director Curt Miller told the Athens Banner-Herald on Tuesday. "As a head coach, a coordinator and he coached at the college level at Furman. We felt like he was the right fit for Oconee."
