It’s not too late to view the tulips! These Skagit tulip farms are extending the festival

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival bloomed late this year as cold weather delayed the blossoming of bright fields and scenery. Now, some tulip farms are extending the festival and staying open to visitors as long as their fields have color.

Three tulip farms in Skagit County have announced they will extend their season, including Tulip Town, RoozenGaarde and Tulip Valley Farms.

“Tulip Town will be open until Monday, May 7, and possibly beyond as long as we have color in the fields. Our rationale is ‘Color Dependent’ instead of ‘Weather Dependent.’ Mother Nature will ultimately dictate how long Tulip Town will stay open,” Kristen Keltz, CEO of Spinach Bus Ventures, which owns and operates Tulip Town, wrote in a news release.

Tulip Valley Farms extended its online ticket sales, offering admission through May 14.

RoozenGaarde confirmed it would stay open through the first week of May and possibly longer in an April 25 Facebook post.
