NM businesses to be honored during Small Business Week

Apr. 30—National Small Business Week is April 28 to May 4, and the Small Business Association New Mexico District Office is holding its National Small Business Week awards on Wednesday.

The winners include small-business owners from across the state, plus lenders.

Top winners are Christopher Sweetin, co-founder and CEO of Triskelion Group of New Mexico Inc., located in Albuquerque.

Among other winners are:

 New Mexico Minority-Owned Small Business of the Year: Dr. Ndidiamaka Okpareke, owner and president of Olive Tree Compounding Pharmacy in Albuquerque

 New Mexico Women-Owned Small Business of the Year: Paleteria La Reyna Michoacana Inc., in Las Cruces

 New Mexico Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year: William "Paul" Farless, president and CEO of SDV Construction Inc., in Albuquerque
