Tom Brady loves showing off to his fans but may have outdone himself with a viral video he released today. And fans have gone from wowed to suspicious.

On Sunday, Brady released a video where he demonstrates some incredible accuracy by throwing three passes to a football passing machine which returned each pass he threw. While amazing to some on first look, it didn’t take long for the detectives to come out.

Some people quickly spoiled the party, pointing out that the video absolutely had to be fake. Others joked how amazed they were that people were so easily convinced it was real given all of his other accomplishments.

Ultimately, Sports Illustrated was one of many outlets who soon debunked the video as phony. SI found that Brady had tagged several outlets who took responsibility for coming up with the effects to make the video look as good as it did:

Tom Brady didn’t exactly need a phony video to inform people of how accurate he is. His career accuracy of 64-percent – among the highest in NFL history – should do that for him.

Then again it’s pretty rare that we get to see what Brady does on a level that the layman can appreciate. It’s been years since we’ve had a proper NFL Skills Challenge with the best the NFL has to offer at quarterback.

Are there any NFL quarterbacks who could, actually, make a real version of the video Tom Brady made?
