The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation also was involved in the warrant operation.

As is standard procedure in officer-involved shootings, the SBI is independently investigating this incident, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Greensboro Police said it is conducting an internal investigation to determine whether department policies were followed.
