Mike Mayock Reportedly Discussing Next Job After Raiders Exit

Mike Mayock has had some preliminary talks with both his former employer (NFL Network) and Amazon.

Mayock was the Las Vegas Raiders general manager until late last year when he was relieved of his duties.

Per Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, Mayock has had “exploratory talks” with both networks. However, it looks unlikely that Mayock will return to NFL Network.

Amazon would be interesting for Mayock as the network could target him for an analyst role. It could be in a pregame role as an analyst or be in the studio to be a halftime analyst.

Before he became the Raiders general manager, he was NFL Network’s top draft analyst and he did work for its Thursday Night Football package.

With Amazon now having the exclusive rights to TNF, it would make sense to see him go there with all of his experience.

These talks could ramp up as the NFL offseason starts to get busy.
