ESPN host Mike Greenberg has a bold pick for his dark horse NFL playoff team for the upcoming 2021 season.

The Get Up! host revealed this week that he’s picking the New York Giants to be his “sneaky good” team this fall.

Greenberg believes that the Giants, led by quarterback Daniel Jones, have what it takes to make the playoffs this season.

“The offensive line should be markedly better. Saquon Barkley should be back and healthy. They brought in weapons: a big receiver in Kenny Golladay. A small quick receiver in Kadarius Toney. The defense improved dramatically as the season went on… The Giants are going to be sneaky good. If Daniel Jones can play, the Giants are a playoff team this year,” Greenberg said on Get Up!

The Giants are coming off a disappointing 6-10 season in 2020. However, the NFC East often upends itself. We’ve routinely seen teams go from the bottom of the division one year to the top of the division the next year.

New York is scheduled to open the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 12 against the Denver Broncos.

Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. E.T.
