March Madness bracket tracker: Updated list of automatic bids to 2024 NCAA Women's Tournament

After a long and difficult wait, the March Madness is finally back.

While the 2024 NCAA women’s basketball tournament has yet to tip off, the games that will determine who ultimately makes up the 68-team field have already begun.

Across the country, conference tournaments have commenced, with the winner of each event earning an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Given that a majority of the sport’s conferences earn only a single spot into the March Madness field, the winner of these tournaments is incredibly important — so much so that it can effectively invalidate everything that transpired over the previous four months of the regular season.

Those stakes, however, make many of these events just as compelling as the NCAA Tournament itself. In many of these conferences, it’s where potential Cinderellas earn their ticket to the ball. And from there, who knows what might happen?
