Love Island 2023 star Olivia Hawkins has addressed her behaviour following the Casa Amor recoupling, admitting her comments to ex-partner Kai Fagan were "hypocritical".

Appearing on spin-off show Aftersun last night (March 5) alongside new man Maxwell Samuda, Olivia revealed she had taken time to reflect on the aftermath.

"Let me just say, I’ve watched that clip back and I put my hands up - I’m such hypocrite!" she said.

"No, honestly, I put my hands up. That was hypocritical of me."

"In the moment, you know, it’s so intense. Emotions were high – there were real feelings there, so when I walked through those doors, I was so nervous," she continued.

Olivia and Kai had been coupled up before Casa Amor, with things seemingly going well for the couple. However, she was upset to find out that Kai had recoupled with Sanam Harrinanan, despite bringing Maxwell back to the villa.

"Very telling, can’t say I’m shocked," Olivia told host Maya Jama at the time.

"'Missing me already', clearly not enough. Oh well, his loss, my gain," she added.

However, Olivia has now said that she has since been able to patch things up with Kai and wished him and Sanam all the best for the future.

"I'm just happy me and Kai have sorted it all out," she said.

"You know, I said to him, 'Thank you so much for being such a big part of my journey'. And Sanam, we’ve actually got a really nice friendship. She’s such a lovely girl. So yeah, I just wish them the best."

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
