One thing about Kevin Durant is that he’s one of the best, if not the best, basketball players in the world. Another thing about him is he will never log off, ever.

Durant has made it a habit to fire back at online criticism, over and over again. In fact, today he responded to a perceived slight that actually wasn’t a slight at all.

It started when Durant’s Brooklyn teammate Kyrie Irving came out today and accused Nike of producing and selling the Kyrie 8 shoe without his input. As a result, Twitter personality Cuffs The Legend tweeted that Irving “needs a better team around him.”

Durant saw the Cuffs tweet and thought it was referring to the Nets needing to put better players around Irving. Naturally, the Team USA star, who is in Tokyo for the Olympics, had to counterpunch.

This is all hilarious, particularly because it was roughly 6 a.m. in Tokyo when Durant posted this. Who needs sleep when there is Twitter?

KD may have been off the mark with his clap back here, but at least he and his Team USA teammates bounced back from their opening game loss to France by drubbing Iran 120-66 last night.
