Look: Danica Patrick’s Coolest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Photos

Former NASCAR driver turned business woman Danica Patrick is currently preparing for a major athletic feat: running a marathon.

Patrick, 39, is currently training for the Boston Marathon, which she hopes to finish this fall. The former race car driver turned business leader has been sharing updates of her training on her Instagram Page. Unsurprisingly, Patrick appears to be in pretty great shape.

While the former racing star is clearly an incredible athlete, she once joked that she would’ve loved to be a full-time swimsuit model.

Patrick posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in 2008 and ’09. The former NASCAR driver had some cool photos in her racing suit.

Patrick had so much fun posing for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, she joked she’d like to pursue it as a full-time job.

“I had so much fun. It was a great experience and I loved it completely. Like, I wish I was a swimsuit model because it was really fun,” she said.

Patrick also joked about being on the cover.

“You could actually say I was on the cover. I had a little image in the top right corner of the cover. I think Bar Refaeli was the cover girl that year.”

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s YouTube page has shared some cool footage from the shoots, too.

Patrick is one of several notable athletes to pose for the issue.

Alex Morgan, Genie Bouchard, Lindsey Vonn, Paige Spiranac and Maria Sharapova, among others, have all posed for the issue.
