Unfortunately, the underlying story of these 2021 NBA Playoffs is the injury bug. LeBron James experienced it firsthand earlier this week. So did James Harden and the Nets Saturday night.

Just 43 seconds into Game 1 of the Nets-Bucks series, Harden went to the locker room. A closer look at his last play showed the NBA star came up hobbling after landing awkwardly. It’s being described as a hamstring injury.

The Nets then went on to rule out Harden for the rest of Game 1. It’s unclear if he’ll be returning by Game 2, or at all this series.

Harden’s injury is another addition to what’s been a lengthy list so far this postseason. LeBron is certainly wishing the best for his friend after seeing him exit Saturday’s game. Take a look.

Brooklyn’s star-powered big three has temporarily dwindled to a dynamic duo. Without James Harden on the court, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant will have to carry the load. LeBron James knows what that’s like.

The Lakers were up 2-1 over the Phoenix Suns when Anthony Davis exited Game 4 with a left groin strain. Neither he or the Lakers were able to recover. Phoenix won three straight games to win the series and bounce the Lakers from the playoffs.

The Nets are certainly hoping they don’t suffer a similar fate. Luckily for them, they still have two superstars on the court. Durant and Irving are more than capable of making up for Harden’s absence.
