Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health to host luncheon on heart health

Feb. 26—The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health will present "There Is So Much You May Not Know About a Woman's Heart!" Wednesday at the Petroleum Club in Midland, 501 W. Wall St. The event, scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., is a part of the Feed Your Mind luncheon series, sponsored by The Anwar Family and Midland Energy.

Featured guest speaker will be Haley Hughston, M.D., a board-certified cardiologist in Lubbock. Hughston will discuss how heart disease specifically impacts women through different phases of life such as during pregnancy.

Prim Naegele, the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health assistant director, also will share her personal story about discovering her life-threatening cardiovascular disease at the age of 45.

Tickets are $25 per person. Tables are available for $500.
