Kansas City area restaurant inspections: Hy-Vee, Brio Italian Grille, La Fuente, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).

Hy-Vee, 7620 State Line Road, Prairie Village, had 12 priority violations during an Oct. 26 routine inspection.

El Saguaro Mexican Grill, 824 N. Ridgeview Road, Olathe, 10 priority violations during an Oct. 28 routine inspection.

La Fuente Mexican Street Food, 9222 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during an Oct. 31 routine inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited this grocery store:

One Stop, market, 4511 E. Truman Road, had 10 critical violations during an Oct. 24 routine inspection. Its deli had eight critical violations during the inspection.

Brio Italian Grille, Country Club Plaza, 502 Nichols Road, had nine critical violations during an Oct. 30 routine inspection.

Portia’s Cafe, 3840 E. Truman Road, had seven critical violations during an Oct. 28 routine inspection.

Subway, 3550 E. Truman Road, had seven critical violations during an Oct. 27 routine inspection.
