Justin Fields trade details: Bears trade former Ohio State QB to Steelers for draft pick

Former Ohio State football quarterback Justin Fields is on the move.

Fields, the No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, was traded Saturday from the Chicago Bears to the Pittsburgh Steelers, per numerous reports, including ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Schefter reports Fields will back up Russell Wilson, who recently signed with the Steelers on a one-year deal after being released by the Denver Broncos. The Bears hold the No. 1 overall pick in next month's NFL draft and are expected to select USC quarterback Caleb Williams, which prompted Fields trade to the Steelers.
