A new IV hydration franchise is opening with two sites on either side of Wichita

Lacey and Cody Beard have been Avon franchisees in Wichita for some time, and the two businesses are doing well enough that they don’t have to devote as much time to them, so they began investigating other possible franchises.

They’ve settled on Prime IV Hydration & Wellness, a medical spa that focuses on IV therapy, which gives clients vitamins and minerals intravenously.

Of all the franchises they considered, Cody Beard said, “There really wasn’t one that spoke to us like this.”

He said, “My wife and I (have) huge healthy living habits.”

Lacey Beard is known as hippie mama for always searching for healthy options for her family.

“We knew it would be easy to sell because it’s something we believe in,” Cody Beard said. “This is a place that will take your health goals to the next level.”

The first Prime IV will open Nov. 23 at Cambridge Market. The center at 21st and Webb Road is where one of the Avon stores already is.

Nurses will discuss health goals with customers, who can choose from a menu of therapies, which focus on such things as hydration, illness prevention and weight loss.

Cody Beard said the business truly is a medical spa with “the whole spa experience.”

“Instead of going in for a massage, you’re going in for IV therapy.”

However, there also will be massage chairs and oxygen therapy on the side.

This summer, Have You Heard? reported that Jasmine Douangpraseuth was moving her ICT IV hydration business to Delano. Cody Beard said he thinks there’s room for both their businesses, especially since they’re in such different parts of the city.

The Beards hope to open another Prime IV near 21st and Maize Road in the spring.

Their second Avon store is at Maple and Maize Road. It’s the success of that franchise and the one at Cambridge Market that’s allowing them to branch out now, Cody Beard said.

“Our Avon stores pretty much run themselves at this point.”
