How hot will it get in Merced on Labor Day? Here’s the forecast for the holiday weekend
Warm summer weather is in store for Merced as Labor Day approaches, according to the National Weather Service.
Residents can expect high temperatures around 90 degrees over the holiday weekend, said Brian Ochs, a meteorologist with the Natural Weather Service office in Hanford.
The high temperature in Merced on Monday, Sept. 2, will be around 92 degrees.
“Then it’s going to warm back up there,” Ochs said, adding that triple-digit heat is expected to return to the region by Wednesday.
What weather is in store for Merced?
Thursday night was expected to be mostly clear in Merced with a low temperature around 64 degrees, according to the weather service’s seven-day forecast.
Friday will be sunny with a high near 98 and a low around 65, with winds as high as 15 mph.
On Saturday, the temperature will reach a high of 98 before dropping to around 64 overnight, according to the National Weather Service.
Merced will start to cool down on Sunday, which will have a high near 95 and a low around 62.
What’s the forecast for Labor Day? Next week?
Merced will experience sunny skies on Monday, Labor Day, with a high temperature near 92 and a low temperature around 62.
Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 97 and an overnight low around 66.
The weather is expected to heat up again on Wednesday, which is forecast to have a high near 100.
Ochs said he doesn’t see it getting “much cooler until maybe the first week of September.”

The weather is typically be hotter from late morning until 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
