San Bernardino County authorities say a Helendale woman who’d been designated missing since Friday morning has been found.

Faith Tucker, 66, had last been seen taking a bus from Helendale to Victor Valley College wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a black cowboy hat with three to four purses in tow around 10:30 a.m. Friday, according to a county Sheriff’s Department release Saturday evening.

Soon after that public release, which designated Tucker a “critical missing person” and requested the public’s assistance in finding her, the search apparently met a successful conclusion.

“She was located and is home with her family,” Sheriff’s spokesperson Gloria Huerta told the Daily Press in an email Sunday afternoon.
