Heavy rain causes Anderson County road to collapse

PALESTINE, Texas - Heavy rain caused part of a road to collapse in Anderson County over the weekend.

Video from Palestine, 110 miles southeast of Dallas, shows a massive hole in Balloon Base Road (FM 3224).

The Westside Fire Department says the road is closed between HWY 287 and CR 422 until further notice.

At this point, it is not clear when the road will reopen.
