Chef-crafted barbecue, Buffalo chicken mac + tacos await you at Panthers games this year
Carolina Panthers fans, it’s go time. Another NFL season is beginning, and it’s time to get ready for game day.
Before you head out to the Panthers home opener on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. against the Los Angeles Chargers, you’ll want to make plans to eat — and executive chef Jarod Higgins is showcasing the Carolinas with a lineup of tasty football food.
The team wants to “give the best fans in the NFL what they want and what they’re looking for,” Higgins told CharlotteFive.
Game day food at Bank of America Stadium
Here’s a look at some of the best bites you’ll have to choose from food and drinks at Bank of America Stadium, and where you can find it.
BBQ bacon-wrapped hot dog: Topped with pulled pork, barbecue sauce and pickled onions — 100 level
Carolina burger: A burger topped with house smoked brisket chili with slaw, onions and mustard — 100 level
Loaded nachos: Your choice of pulled pork or chicken with nacho cheese, pico de gallo, roasted corn, cotija cheese and chipotle cream — 100, 300 and 500 levels
Buffalo chicken mac and cheese: Topped with Buffalo chicken, toasted Ritz crackers, garlic Buffalo sauce and green onions — 100 level cart and 500 level
Steak + mushroom tacos: Roasted steak or mushrooms topped with chopped onions, cotija cheese, cilantro and salsa rojo — 300 level
Smoked Carolina beef rib: A 14-hour smoked rib with white bread, house-made pickles and pickled onion — 300 level
The Pork Chopp’ed: Brown sugar glazed and smoked chopped pork, topped with a pickled onion relish and served on a hoagie roll — 300 level
Beverage options: Signature cocktails available this year include the Carolina peach margarita and the boldly blue Bankers Collins, along with a selection of beer and seltzers.

What else is new for Panthers fans this year?
Express Entry kiosks, powered by Verizon, can scan your face to let you in without slowing you down. It will also pull up the tickets for whoever else is in your group at the same time, so you don’t have to each stop and pull out your phones. (Advance registration is required to activate this feature, of course.)
Panthers history will come alive with a display that will move throughout the stadium, celebrating the team’s 30th anniversary. Fans will be able to check out all kinds of collectibles and memorabilia.
