Gas in Fort Worth isn’t cheap. But you can find fuel under $3 at these locations
Gas prices in Tarrant County are among the pricier in Texas. However, the sticker price still manages to be under the national average of $3.41, according to AAA.
Texas as a whole also remains under the national sum with an average of $3.02 per gallon. Tarrant County’s current average is $3.11, which is lower than a year ago when it was $3.55.
Gas prices have fallen since 2022, per statistics provided by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. In June 2022, average prices were as high as $4.64 due to the Russia-Ukraine war that had oil and gas prices soaring. Since, prices have not beat that record and Texas saw as low as $3.06 in June 2024.
Despite Tarrant County’s high average, Fort Worth is still seeing prices under $3. According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas you can get in Fort Worth right now is $2.85 at the Destiny gas station on 4400 Southwest Blvd.
According to AAA, the current average price for regular gas in Fort Worth is $3.11. For mid-grade gas, it is $3.49, Premium is $3.82, and Diesel is $3.19.
