Four Macon men sentenced for robberies in Jones County. How many years will they serve?

Four Macon men received lengthy prison sentences this week for robberies in Jones County, according to the Ocmulgee District Attorney’s Office.

Two of them will be serving seven life sentences each, including one who previously was arrested on a murder charge, according to prosecutors.

Three of the perpetrators, Shaun Mills, Terrell Mills and Corey Wallace, broke into a home on Jan. 12 last year on the south side of Jones County, a Facebook post by the district attorney’s office said Thursday. Three children and their mother were present when the three men “committed the offenses of home invasion, armed robbery and aggravated assault.”

Nine days after the home invasion, on Jan. 21 last year, they robbed 49er Mart, a convenience store located off Shurling Drive. The Mills, Wallace and Donnie White “committed multiple counts of armed robbery and aggravated assault,” according to the district attorney’s office.

The four men were arrested shortly after they robbed the convenience store.

The Ocmulgee District Attorney’s Office said the Mills each received seven life sentences. They were four-time convicted felons, with Terrell Wills having pleaded guilty to murder in 2003, according to court records.

Wallace and White were sentenced to 50 years, prosecutors said. Wallace will be serve30 years in prison while White will serve 15. The rest of the sentence will be served under supervised release.

“Let this be a warning to all criminals that Jones County is not the place to commit crime,” said the Facebook post from the Ocmulgee District Attorney’s Office. “We are closed for business. Don’t cross the county line!”
