Former NFL Quarterback Rips League’s Schedule Decision
Every player in the NFL has been put on notice this Thursday, as the league announced that games on the 2021 schedule could be forfeited.
“The NFL just informed clubs that if a game cannot be rescheduled during the 18-week season in 2021 due to a COVID outbreak among unvaccinated players, the team with the outbreak will FORFEIT and be credited with a loss for playoff seeding, per sources,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported.
Former NFL quarterback Derek Anderson made it known that he despises this new rule. In fact, he told his Twitter followers that he would retire if he was still playing.
“This is total bulls*** @NFL,” Anderson tweeted. “So if a vaccinated player contracts which they will ,no consequences? That’s ridiculous. Forcing guys to get a emergency use vax that’s unproven is bulls***. Let them make their own decisions. Would retire tomorrow if I was still playing.”

Anderson was a sixth-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He played for the Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills.
Over the course of his NFL career, Anderson completed 54.3 percent of his pass attempts for 10,878 yards, 60 touchdowns and 64 interceptions.
Anderson might not be the only person who feels this way about the NFL’s schedule decision. However, it’s hard to blame the league for putting its foot down after seeing how many obstacles it had to overcome last fall.
