Billionaire Isaac “Ike” Perlmutter, the former chairman of Disney-owned Marvel Entertainment, has listed for $21 million the Palm Beach oceanfront townhouse they bought in April for a recorded $10 million.

With contemporary-style interiors, the townhouse — No. 2 in the Residences at Sloans Curve — is part of an intimate enclave of townhomes and single-family houses on the South End of town.

The price of the townhouse appears to be the most expensive ever asked for a townhome in the Residences at Sloans Curve.

The four-bedroom townhouse is in the same gated neighborhood where Fox News’ firebrand Sean Hannity bought a townhome for $5.3 million in April 2021.

Perlmutter and his wife, Laura, own the townhome at 2 Sloans Curve Drive, through a trust for which they serve as trustees, property records show. The residence is on the far north end of the development, near the South Ocean Boulevard estate of resort-and-casino mogul Steve Wynn.

Listed Wednesday, the townhouse has 6,332 square feet of living space, inside and out. Glass doors in the main living area open onto the patio of the unit’s private pool, which fronts the ocean. The townhouse has two dens and an attached two-car garage.

The Perlmutters, meanwhile, have for years owned a double apartment in the North Building at Sloans Curve, the condominium complex immediately to the south at 2000 Sloan's Curve. That condo is not for sale, according to the multiple listing service.

The Perlmutters bought the townhouse last spring in an off-market sale, shortly after Ike Perlmutter was laid off from Disney in what was reported to be a cost-saving move. Perlmutter sold his Marvel comics company to Disney for a reported $4 billion in 2009.

Forbes estimates his fortune at $4.2 billion. He is among at least 57 billionaires who have residential ties to Palm Beach, according to an analysis of Forbes data by the Palm Beach Daily News.

Broker Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate has the listing. He and the Perlmutters could not be reached immediately for comment.

Angle’s sales description describes the townhouse as “stunning and rarely available” with “commanding ocean views from the primary rooms.”

The listing mentions the well-equipped kitchen with a work island, top-of-the-line appliances and double-height ceilings. The formal living room has a bar and custom built-in cabinetry. A prominent skylight helps bring natural light into the residence.

The primary bedroom suit has a dressing area, two bathrooms and a covered balcony overlooking the Atlantic. The entry courtyard features a fountain.

The 15 townhouses and seven single-family homes in the development were built in the early 1990s to complement the nearby Sloans Curve condo buildings. Residents of the townhouses have access to the overall development’s resort-like amenities.

The Perlmutters bought the townhome last spring from friends, according to sources familiar with the transaction. The deed recorded in April listed the sellers as Sandra Bornstein and her real estate businessman husband, Richard, who died at 72 on April 13, a week after the townhouse sale was recorded at the Palm Beach County Courthouse. He had headed the Koffler Group of Providence, Rhode Island.

The Bornsteins had owned the townhouse since 1991, when they bought it for $1.8 million, property records show. They had it listed as their primary residence in the latest tax rolls.

In February 2022, former Ambassador to the Netherlands and Brazil Clifford M. Sobel, who served in the administrations of presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, and his wife, Barbara, paid $7.5 million for a townhome in the same development, property records show.
