It’s no secret that Charlotte’s buzzing culinary scene is full of countless restaurants and cafes serving up delicious cuisine — and brunch is no exception.

Which brunch spots have been named the best of the best? Here’s which restaurants you selected as serving the best brunch bites in Charlotte.

Best brunch in Charlotte: Deluxe Fun Dining

Location: 305 W 4th St, Charlotte, NC 28202

For Deluxe Fun Dining, the same says it all: a spot not just known for its food but the atmosphere, too. The local restaurant, which opened about five years ago, is known for its over-the-top dishes on its “ever-evolving menu.”

From its Gold Lobster served atop Red Velvet Waffles to the Deluxe Bloody Mary “dinner cocktail” with fried seafood, Deluxe Fun Dining has a wide selection of specialty brunch and dinner dishes with a twist.

“We do a lot of bunch of things that, you know, are different from a lot of people out here … just, you know, funny pairings that try to make our culture lively,” Kashief Hamilton, manager of Deluxe Fun Dining, told CharlotteFive.

“If you wanna come, have a fun time, laugh — you know, celebrate something — we’re gonna celebrate it with you. This is a whole experience that we want you guys to have.”

Runner-up for best brunch in Charlotte: Church and Union

Location: 127 N Tryon St #8, Charlotte, NC 28202

Church and Union is a local fine dining restaurant that’s been a staple in Charlotte for over a decade. The uptown spot, formerly known as 5Church, opened back in 2012 and has since expanded to Charleston and Nashville with more locations opening soon in Miami and Denver.

Church and Union’s brunch’s menu — which is only available on weekends — features some of its new and old classics such as Chef Jamie’s Lamb Burger, the Queen’s Breakfast and the Holy $h!t Breakfast.

“Our brunch service is a little bit more high energy … the beautiful thing about brunch is that it’s a little less formal and everybody’s just there to have a good time and a good meal,” general manager Matthew Pressley told CharlotteFive.

“To everyone that has continued to support us over the last 12 years that we’ve been doing brunch here, you know, thank you. To the guests willing to come out and give us a shot, we’re here to just provide you with an excellent experience.”
