FIU football honors Luke Knox, brother of Buffalo Bills' Dawson Knox, by bringing out his jersey
Florida International University paid tribute to Luke Knox, a former high school football star in Nashville and younger brother to the Buffalo Bills' Dawson Knox.
The 22-year-old linebacker died suddenly Aug. 17 and authorities are still investigating. Before the start of the team's season opener against Bryant on Thursday night in Miami, FIU honored Knox by having his jersey brought out on the field followed by a moment of silence.

FIU football also created helmet stickers detailed with Knox's name and number, and will honor him with every game this season.

Knox played linebacker and tight end for Brentwood Academy as a three-star athlete. He was recruited by Ole Miss in 2018 as a linebacker and played for three seasons with the Rebels before transferring to FIU in August.
