This ‘fairytale castle’ is every medieval lover’s dream. Check out the Idaho estate
Obsessed with any and all things medieval? Sad “Game of Thrones” is over? Always wanted to feel like you were part of a Disney movie?
Well, look no further than Sagle, Idaho, where Castle Von Frandsen towers over Lake Pend Oreille, providing endless views for days.
It’s on the real estate market for $7 million.
“This one-of-a-kind castle was hand-built from granite quarried in British Columbia and hand-chiseled to fit on site,” the listing on Realtor.com says. “The massive timber beams were harvested and honed from the forest. A whimsical enchanting home with two bedrooms and three bathrooms.”
According to Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls Press, the owner, Kris Frandsen — an avid lover of anything and everything from the medieval era — spent the last 18 years building the gorgeous 8,000-square-foot residence.
“I’ve always been into medieval [things],” Frandsen said. “I’ve always been into castles, period.”
“I just love it all. I love the attire. I love the horse(s). I love the music. I could go on and on. I just love it all.”
And it shows in the magical interior of the home.
Features include:
Private two-tiered dock
Stone tunnel
Interior plunge pool
Dramatic stone archways
High ceilings
Only downside? The castle isn’t finished yet. But that just means an imaginative new owner can sweep in and make it their very own.
Sagle is about 65 miles northeast of Spokane, Washington.
